Ironstone Render and Plaster basecoat

Description
Ironstone Basecoat is a factory blended render / plaster base coat that takes all variables out of the equation.  Manufactured using St. Astier Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL 2) and high-performance 3mm down kiln dried sand . Ironstone basecoat offers all of the advantages of the Ironstone range but with additional work aids added to significantly improve its physical and mechanical performance.

Significantly improved workability – Ironstone Basecoat offers the feel of modern base coat whilst retaining the properties of pure NHL mixes, the working aids allow a much longer open time to apply and finish the basecoat when compared to site mixes and other drymix products on the market.
Significantly reduced shrinkage – less water is required than standard site mixes, which mitigates the risk of shrinkage as the base coat cures.
Improved all round cure – the basecoat will cure evenly so promoting  an improved bond with the substrate.
Suitable for high suction backgrounds.
